Seriously? If I was in a plane crash and trying to survive on an island (nevermind the smoke monster, Others, creepy French woman, creepy Dead/Not Dead people, Darma Initiative…etc) I would want my hair to be as fabulous as Kates, or Juliets, or ANY of the crash-ed people. I mean, I know they scavanged stuff from the plane, and then went down the hatch and got even more supplies…but was hair gel and flat irons really a part of that? Doubtful.

Nevertheless…most of them still have fabulous hair, maybe with the exception of Hurley LOL. I suppose that’s the magic of TV for ya. So I’ve decided to bring you my Top 9 Lost Inspired Hair Care Products… for everyone trying to get some sexy beach hair.

9. LOCKE : Roffler Gentle Shave… & a razor
This one is pretty straight forward. But the Gentle Shave is a great product because it’s concentrated, so you use a smaller amount and it lasts longer. It also gives you a nice, smooth finish. Very good!

8. BEN : Roffler Pomade or Roffler Styling Gel
Again, fairly simple for guys with short hair. Apply a small amount of either product to your finger tips and smush it around on all of your finger tips. Then either run your finger through your hair and then shape the hair, or start by pulling hair up into desired spikey fashion, shaping as you go.

7. DESMOND : Argan Oil
Desmond’s hair seems pretty natural. It’s not really straight, not really curly, just wavy. For guys with naturally wavy hair, try adding a little argan oil to damp hair after you shower. The argan oil will help fight frizz and lets your natural waves look their best. It also smooths the hair to make it look and feel better.

6. SAYID : Roffler Sculpt Glaze or Roffler Fixative Styling Cream
I LOVE Sayid’s hair. mmmmmm. Okay, for guys with super curly hair that is either natural or permed, you need a curl enhancing/controlling cream, mousse, gel…somethin. Otherwise your curl is going to get out of control! Especially if humidity is involved. The two mentioned above work great. Just apply a small amount to your damp hair after you shower and you should be good to go. If you have curly hair that is only sort-of curly, and you want more curl, try Biogenol Snapp Curl Rejuvenator in combination with one of these products.

5. SHANNON / SUN : Aquage Beyond Shine or Lanza Reflex
Seriously? Shannon’s hair always looked fabulous! There are some people out there that have naturally stick straight hair that doesn’t frizz in humidity…but they are in the minority. If you’re looking for stick-straight smoothness that DOESN’t endup feeling sticky (like with a hairspray) then definitely use the Aquage Beyond Shine. It straightens hair and leaves it feeling incredibly soft and shiny. If your hair tends to poof and frizz halfway through the day after straightening, then go for the Lanza Reflex. It will give you straight hair and it will help fight humidty to give you all-day styling. Both products help protect hair from heat!

4. SAWYER : Roffler Mousse or Roffler Pomade
Sawyer’s hair always looks just dirty enough to be sexy. Right? For guys with mid-length hair, like Sawyer’s, using a mousse or pomade will help prevent frizz, and gives your hair a little weight and separation – for that dirty/disheveled look that says “I don’t know care! I’ve got more important things to do than my hair! Like build a raft! And infiltrate the others! And babysit Jack! And try not to think about Kate!….mmmm kate….”

3. DANIELLE ROUSSEAU :Kevin Murphy Hair Resort
Even though she wasn’t on the show for that long, I still loved Danielle’s big hair…and her daughters (Alex’s) for that matter. Kevin Murphy products are great because you can combine them to create new, personalized solutions for your hair care. While it says you simply apply this one and then blow-dry for big hair, you might want to check out their other products too to find the perfect combination for your hair type. Because who’s hair falls into just ONE category anyway?

2. KATE :Aquage Illuminating Gelade
Kate’s hair falls under two categories for me. I would say this one is the damp-on-the-run-jungle-expedition look. Apply when hair is damp and then scrunch while it dries. Scrunch while blow-drying for faster and more controled results. AND use with Biogenol Snapp Curl Rejuvenator to bump up the curl.

1. KATE : Paul Brown Hawaii Hapuna Beach
This category for Kate would be the I’ve-been-sitting-on-the-beach-eating-mango-bc-I-won’t-move-back-to-the-caves-and-it’s-not-my-flashback-episode look. So, more natural and less wet eh. It’ll give you a little curl and a little hold and will be softer than the Gelade mentioned above.
